Basalt Public Library Salutes Cole Porter

It may be quiet in town, but even in off-season there are fun things to do. If you're a lover of the witty music and lyrics of Cole Porter, you're in luck! Head down to the Basalt Public Library tomorrow, May 16, for a performance by well-known local soprano Cathy Markle and jazz pianist Tim Fox. They will present an hour of Porter favorites from 5:30-6:30 pm. The concert is free and takes place in the library's conference room.


Roaring Fork Valley Immigration Forum

On Monday, May 13, the Aspen Chamber Resort Association and the Aspen Institute will host an important conversation on immigration. Leaders in business, law enforcement and government will discuss the economic and social impacts of this crucial social issue.
