The Gents Take on Vail Today

With Food & Wine continuing in Wagner Park through Sunday, the Gentlemen of Aspen rugby team will open their summer season today in Rio Grande Park at 3pm. The Gents will be playing Vail and they've been playing well, so get down to the Rio Grande field to cheer the home team on! For details call (970) 404-1604.
Celebrity Chef 5K Charity Race

Tickets to this year's Food & Wine may be sold out, but that doesn't mean you can't mingle with famous chefs. Tomorrow, June 14, is the annual running of the Celebrity Chef 5K Charity Race, led by chef Bobby Flay. The race runs from 6-10am in Rio Grande Park, and is a benefit for Wholesome Wave, a non-profit that works to connect farmers and consumers. Registration is until noon today, June 12 and the race fee is $30 until then and $40 afterward.
Motors on Midland

Downtown Basalt hosts a classic car show, "Motors on Midland," today from 5 to 8pm. Live music from Echo Monday, food and a beer garden will add to the festivities. If you love old cars, this is the place to be tonight. For details, call (970) 379-3280.
